Pawsitively Good Pups – Frequently Asked Questions
What training methods do you use?
Pawsitively Good Pup uses reward-based training methods focused on clear communication, trust, and emotional balance. Cindy combines traditional positive reinforcement techniques with TBTE (Training Between the Ears), a relationship-based approach that helps dogs learn to relax, focus, and make better choices.
What types of dogs do you work with?
We work with dogs of all ages, breeds, and personalities — from energetic puppies to senior dogs. Training programs are customized for each dog and may include obedience training, puppy training, behavior modification, and emotional wellness support.
Do you offer puppy training?
Yes. Puppy training is one of the best ways to build a strong foundation for lifelong success. Lessons can help with housebreaking, crate training, biting, jumping, leash introduction, socialization, and building calm behavior from the start.
Can you help with reactive or anxious dogs?
Absolutely. Many dogs struggle with fear, anxiety, reactivity, or overexcitement. The goal is to help dogs feel calmer, safer, and more confident. TBTE Is very effective at resolving these issues.
Where do private lessons take place?
Private lessons are available in real-world environments where your dog needs practice most. This allows training to happen in situations that reflect your everyday life.
How long are training sessions?
Session length varies depending on the program and your dog’s needs, but most private lessons typically last about 1 1/2 hours.
How many training sessions will my dog need?
Every dog is different. Some dogs need only a few sessions for basic manners, while behavior modification cases may require ongoing support and practice. During your consultation, Cindy will recommend a training plan based on your goals and your dog’s behavior.
